Spare Party Graduation Project

Project Description

Spare Party is the eighth and final game I worked on at The Game Assembly, the fourth while working with the same group, Distortion Games. We made it using our own Engine based on DirectX with Wwise for audio and PhysX for physics.

My Contributions

  • Decals in our deferred pipeline
  • Dynamic shadows
  • Movement Contributions
    • Managing the different movement-states
    • Collisions using both kinematic objects and raycasts in PhysX
    • Separate raycasts for head and legs, with varying lenght depending on circumstances
  • Anti-cheat system (hashing of all XML-files)
  • Player character with detatchable limbs
  • Different graphics options in our launcher
